Inger Eline Eriksen Fjellgren (* 1987 ) is a Norwegian - Sami politician from the Sami Árja party . She also represents them in the Norwegian Sami Parliament Sameting .

Life

Fjellgren grew up in Molleš , a small mountain village in the Karasjok municipality . From 2008 to 2010 Fjellgren was a member of the board of the Samsike studenters forening , an association of Sami students. She studied law at Tromsø University , where she holds a master's degree . She also has a German degree in this subject. She worked as a legal assistant and judge .

In 2009 Fjellgren stood for the first time for the party Árja for the election of the Sameting. There she did not get a mandate in this parliament, but only became Vararepresentantin . In the 2013 election she moved into the Sameting for the constituency of Ávjovárri . This includes the areas around the municipalities of Karasjok , Kautokeino and Porsanger . In 2016, she became a member of the Sametingsrådet , the presidency of the Sametings , under Sametings President Vibeke Larsen . She was the youngest member of parliament who had managed to become part of this body. In 2017 she moved into parliament again as the top candidate for this group and since then she has been the only Árja politician in the Sameting. She is a member of the Economic and Cultural Committee.

She is married with two children and lives in Tana . Her mother tongue is Sami and she speaks Norwegian , English and German as other languages .
