Inglebirds was a rap crew from St. Ingbert around the rapper DCVDNS . The crew is based on West Coast hip-hop and G-funk . The name is a play on words with the hometown of the three crew members St. Ingbert in the Saarland and the city of Inglewood in the greater Los Angeles area , which is known as the infamous gang spot.

Band history

DCVDNS, Hermann Weiss and Wolfgang H. have known each other since childhood. At the beginning mainly Hermann Weiss and Wolfgang H. played music together and tried their hand at freestyle rap under the name Saarpreme, whereby Wolfgang H. switched to DJing pretty quickly . "Die coole Gang" was later created, consisting of Wolfgang H. and DCVDNS, who produced some YouTube clips and released a double CD with Eurodance and Hip-Hop in their own distribution. After that, DCVDNS in particular reaped solo success, with Wolfgang H., the DCVDNS 'regular producer, and Hermann Weiss being represented on his albums. With the album Der Wolf im Schafspelz (2013) there was a first allusion to the rap crew Inglebirds.

Right from the start they leaned on West Coast hip-hop. The recordings on the album began relatively early on. However, the production was interrupted in order to be able to compete with the song Getti at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2014 in Göttingen . The song was also the second single on the album. At BVSC, however, DCVDNS and Wolfgang H. forgot the text and tried a freestyle. The song took third from last place in the contest.

On November 7, 2014, the debut album Big Bad Birds was released . Shortly thereafter, the crew announced their “dissolution” due to “personal differences”.
