Ingo Röper

Ingo Röper (born December 12, 1945 in Flintbek ) is a former German athlete who - starting for the Federal Republic - won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 1969 with the 4 x 400 meter relay (3: 03.1 min: Horst-Rüdiger Schlöske , Ingo Röper, Gerhard Hennige , Martin Jellinghaus ).

In 1968 he had already won silver at the European Indoor Games with the 4-by-2-round relay. In 1970 he became German indoor champion over 400 meters . In the open air, the runner-up title in 1967 was his best placement, in 1969 he qualified third in the German championship for the European championships. He set his personal best at the Universiade in Tokyo in 1967 when he won in 46.0 s.

Ingo Röper belonged to the sports club TSV Rot-Weiß Niebüll , in 1967 he moved to USC Mainz . In his playing days he was 1.90 m tall and weighed 82 kg.
