Ingo Sax
Ingo Sax (born November 22, 1940 in Hamburg ; † November 13, 2019 ) was a German author of plays , fairy tale plays and radio plays , also in the Low German language .
Life
Sax did an apprenticeship as a locksmith after attending school, which he completed with secondary school leaving certificate . He then studied mechanical engineering and then drove through Europe as a truck driver for three years . He was cured of stuttering through psychoanalysis and acting classes , and then studied social education and psychology .
From 1984 Sax wrote plays that have been performed on numerous stages since 1985 that cultivate the Low German language - especially in northern Germany.
In 1991 he received the Fritz Reuter Prize from the Alfred Toepfer Foundation.
Ingo Sax died on November 13, 2019 after a long illness.
