Ingrid Dörrer

Ingrid Dörrer (born November 18, 1937 in Feucht , Middle Franconia ) is a German geographer and professor emeritus of geography at the University of Mannheim .

Career

Ingrid Dörrer did her doctorate with a thesis on the periglacial treasure trove in the Steigerwald . She wrote her habilitation with Gudrun Höhl with a geomorphological analysis of the Limousins (France).

Others

Gudrun Höhl's student is considered a representative of classical geomorphology.

From 2001 to 2005 Ingrid Dörrer represented the chair for physical geography and regional studies at the Geographical Institute of the University of Mannheim, the chair that Peter Frankenberg held before moving to the Ministry of Science in Stuttgart.

Ingrid Dörrer received the University Medal in Gold in 2005 in recognition of her achievements at the University of Mannheim.
