Ingrid Josephs

Ingrid Josephs (* 1961 in Bochum ) is a German psychologist .

Life

From 1981 to 1983 she studied German and philosophy at the Ruhr University Bochum and from 1983 to 1988 psychology there, graduating with a diploma. From 1988 to 1989 she was a research assistant at the University of Wuppertal in the DFG project "Motivation and Volition". From 1989 to 1990 she was a research associate, clinical psychology, Ruhr University Bochum; Project "Model experiment for advanced training in clinical psychology". From 1990 to 1993 she was a research associate, developmental psychology, Ruhr University Bochum. In 1992 she was a DAAD research fellow at the Institute of Human Development at the University of California, Berkeley . After receiving her doctorate in 1993 at the Ruhr University Bochum, awarded the prize for outstanding scientific work (Ruhr University Bochum), she was a research assistant , developmental psychology, Ruhr University Bochum from 1993 to 1995 . From 1995 to 1998 she was a research assistant, developmental psychology and educational psychology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg . In 1996 she had a DAAD short-term scholarship (teaching) at the University of Tartu . From 1998 to 2000 she received a Feodor-Lynen Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at Clark University . From 2000 to 2001 she was a university lecturer (UD) at the University of Nijmegen , Department of Clinical Psychology and Personality Research. After her habilitation in 2001, Venia Legendi for psychology in Magdeburg , she teaches as a professor for personality psychology in Nijmegen from 2001 to 2004 . Since November 2004 she has been teaching as a professor at the FernUniversität in Hagen , subject area: adult psychology.

Her work focuses on self and identity development in spatial-material, social and cultural contexts, Dialogical Self Theory and emotional development.
