Inkofen is a district of the town of Rottenburg an der Laaber in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

Inkofen is located in the Hallertau on the Kleine Laber about five kilometers east of Rottenburg.

history

Inkofen is an old noble estate . The parish of Inkofen is confirmed in a document as early as 1230. When Sweden invaded the Rottenburg area in the Thirty Years' War in 1632, the castle and the rectory were also burned down. On March 1, 1660, the Hofmark Inkofen came to the Mallersdorf monastery according to the will of Matthäus Bittlmayr and was secularized in 1803.

Inkofen was founded by the Bavarian municipal edict in 1818. The community included Inkofen, Allgramsdorf, Rahstorf and Stein. The municipality belonging to the court, district and finally to the district of Rottenburg an der Laaber was incorporated into the city of Rottenburg an der Laaber on May 1, 1978.
