Innerwald is a district of the municipality of Aschau im Chiemgau in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim , located in the old municipality of Sachrang .

The mountain village with a traditional appearance is located at the southern end of the Priental , not far from the main district of Sachrang . Surrounded by the Chiemgau Alps at the foot of the Spitzstein and the Brandelberg , Innerwald lies at an altitude of 735 m above sea level. NHN .

Innerwald was a typical farming village until the 1970s , consisting of eight properties:
- Hamberger to Innerwald
- Krapf to Innerwald
- Gratz'n to Innerwald
- Neuhäusler to Innerwald
- Nagelschmied zu Innerwald
- Kohlstadler to Innerwald
- Bachinger to Innerwald
- Lipp to Innerwald
Several of these farms can be traced back to 1465.
Innerwald was part of the Sachrang municipality . This was on May 1, 1978 as part of the administrative reform in Bavaria after Aschau incorporated.
