The Instytut Meteorologii i Gospodarki Wodnej - Państwowy Instytut Badawczy (short IMGW-PIB , German  Institute for Meteorology and Water Management - National Research Institute ) is a Polish state administrative authority that has the task of monitoring the weather, water, climate and the environment and making forecasts to create. The work of the IMGW-PIB is based on the four scientific areas of meteorology , hydrology , oceanography and climatology .

The institute is headquartered in Warsaw at ul. Podleśna 61. It has regional forecasting offices for the Oder basin in Wroclaw , the Polish Baltic coast in Gdynia , the Vistula in Krakow and the Warta in Poznan .
