Internacionalni festival filma Kustendorf

The Internacionalni festival filma Kustendorf is a film festival in Küstendorf in Serbia .

The festival was launched in 2008 by the well-known director Emir Kusturica . It takes place in the man-made village Küstendorf in the Mokra Gora in the Zlatibor Mountains . The festival is a young talent competition for film students, in which newcomer films from all over the world are awarded. These are short films up to 45 minutes in length. The golden, silver and bronze eggs are awarded.

History and award winners

2008

The first festival took place from January 14th to 21st, 2008. The festival started with a funeral of the film Die Hard 4 in the cemetery of bad films. The jury consisted of Peter Handke , Andrea Gambeta and Ninos Feneck Mikelidis . Nikita Mikhalkov was the main guest and held a workshop. Other guests were Fatih Akin , Cristian Mungiu , Miki Manojlović , Michael Radford , Vojislav Koštunica , Eran Kolirin , Christian Monggaard , Matija Bećković and Răzvan Vasilescu .

2009

The second festival took place from January 8th to 14th, 2009. The festival opened with a visit to the grave of the film Die Hard 4, which was buried at last year's festival . The main guest was Jim Jarmusch , who also held a workshop. Other guests were Sergei Dworzewoi , Thierry Frémaux and others. The president of the jury Anica Dobra and the two co-judges Karl Baumgartner and Gian Luca Farinelli awarded the prizes.

Prize winners:

  • Golden Egg for Godog by the Japanese Kohki Hasei .
  • Silver egg for Mikis Ballad by the Montenegrin Nina Vukovic .
  • Bronze egg for the film Viola from the USA by the Korean Shih-Ting Hung .

2010

The third festival took place from January 13th to 19th, 2010. The main guest at the 2010 festival was actor Johnny Depp , to whom a life-size statue was dedicated.

Prize winners:

  • Golden Egg for Paradise Lost by Mihal Brezis and Oded Binnun.
  • Silver egg for grandmother from the Czech girl Zuzana Kirchnerová-Špidlová.
  • Bronze egg for the Lithuanian film Lernavan by Marat Sargsyan.

The special jury award went to the Bulgarian cartoon film Ohne Ende by Blagoje Kostov.

2011

The fourth festival took place from January 5th to 12th, 2011.

2012

The fifth festival took place from January 17th to 23rd, 2012.

2013

The sixth festival took place from January 16-22, 2013.

2014

The seventh festival took place from January 18-23, 2014.
