Zlatibor ( Serbian - Cyrillic Златибор ) is a low mountain range belonging to the Dinarides in western Serbia . It gave the local administrative district ( Okrug Zlatibor ) with its seat in Užice its name and is about 240 km away from Belgrade . The mountains are bordered by the Đetinja rivers in the north and the Uvac in the south. The highest point is the Tornik with a height of 1496 m.
The mountain range is one of the longest tourist regions in Serbia . There are several spas here and numerous facilities for winter sports . In 2015, around 300,000 tourists visited the mountains, 36,000 of them from abroad.

The mountains are accessed by the European route 763 , in the north the European route 761 touches the area. The Belgrade – Bar line crosses under the Zlatibor in a six-kilometer tunnel. The Šarganska osmica narrow-gauge railway , which has been reactivated for tourist purposes, runs over the Šargan Pass, which forms the border with the Tara Mountains .
