Neunitz is part of the municipality of the Saxon city of Grimma in the Leipzig district .

Neunitz is about 2.5 kilometers east of Grimma. State road 38 Grimma– Oschatz runs through the village .
Neunitz's neighbors are Dorna in the north, Döben in the northeast, Grechwitz in the east, Kaditzsch in the south and Grimma in the west.
history
The first documented form of place names dates from 1378 as Nunicz or Neunycz . Neunitz is a Slavic foundation. It was created directly on an old trade route from Breslau via Oschatz and Grimma to Leipzig .
August Schumann mentions in 1820 in the State, Post and Newspaper Lexicon of Saxony Neunitz concerning a. a .:
“The place has 130-140 inhabitants, who are parish to […] Döben, and apart from good agriculture they also grow fruit. With the exception of 2 farmers and 3 gardeners , who became official knights. Leipnitz in Amte Colditz [...] belong, the other residents are directly below Amte Grimma , and have 7 ½ hooves along with 6 horses and 50–60 cows; [...]. "
On January 1, 1967, Neunitz was incorporated into Döben. On January 1, 1994, the municipality of Döben was incorporated into Grimma, Neunitz became a part of the municipality.
