Roda is a village in the Leipzig district in Saxony . Politically, the place has belonged to Grimma since the beginning of 2012 . It is located on the district road 8324 between Mutzschen and Cannewitz .

In a document, Roda was first mentioned in 1439 as "zum Rode". Further mentions were:
