Jeesewitz is a village in the Leipzig district in Saxony . Politically, the place has belonged to Grimma since 2012 . It is located on Kreisstraße 8333 between Draschwitz and Göttwitz .
Jeesewitz was first mentioned in a document in 1350 as "Gesewicz, Jesewicz". Further mentions were:

On January 1, 1952, Jeesewitz was incorporated into Prösitz, and on January 1, 1993, Prösitz was again incorporated into Mutzschen. With the incorporation of Mutzschen into Grimma on January 1, 2012, Jeesewitz has been part of the latter's municipality since then.
