Kleinbardau is a village in the Leipzig district in Saxony . Politically, the place has belonged to Grimma since the beginning of 2006 , in 1972 the village was incorporated into Großbardau .

It is located between Großbardau and Etzoldshain on Staatsstrasse 11 and the Parthe that gives it its name .

history

In a document, Kleinbardau was first mentioned in 1243 as "Parde minorem". Further mentions were:

  • 1355: Zcur few-Parde
  • 1490: Cleynen Bard
  • 1529: clein bard
  • 1548: Kleynparda
  • 1791: Klein Barda, Klein Pardau

From 1937 to 1947 the place had its own railway connection, which came to an abrupt end with the dismantling of the still very young Borna – Großbothen railway as a reparation payment to the Soviet Union after World War II.
