Pöhsig is a village in the Leipzig district in Saxony . Politically, the place has belonged to Grimma since the beginning of 2011 . It is on the S38 between Mutzschen and Grimma.

Pöhsig was first mentioned as "Pezk" in 1350. Further mentions were:
