Location of Frauendorf in Saxony

Frauendorf is a village in the Leipzig district in Saxony . Politically, the place has belonged to Grimma since the beginning of 2011 . It lies between Papsdorf and Dürrweitzschen .

Frauendorf was first mentioned in documents as "Vrowendorf" in 1254. Further mentions were:

history

1254 confirmed Mgf. Heinrich the monastery book his property in Vrowendorf & Kokeylant . It is u. a. stated that these villages had already been transferred to the monastery by King Henry (VII) . He warned his governors not to disturb the monastery in their possession. In the same year 1254 Bgf. Albero von Leisnig that he has transferred his judicial rights in Nydadobodewiz & Kokeylant to the Buch monastery. In the corresponding document of King Henry (VII.) From 1234, the villages are called Nidabudowiz & Kogelant . So one can assume that Nidabudowiz is an older name of Frauendorf.

In 1378 Frauendorf had 20 bushels of grain and the same in oats to deliver to the castrum Leisnig.

1386 sold Mgf. Wilhelm returned to the monastery book goods zcu frowendorf and zcu kuckeland (forty bushels of grain and forty bushels of oats with both dishes).

In 1548, the official inheritance book of the Buch monastery in Frauendorf names “8 possessed men, including 4 horse men, who are all loanable and interestable to the Buch monastery” with 10 hooves.
