Anica Dobra [ ˈanit͡sa ] ( Serbian - Cyrillic Аница Добра ; born June 3, 1963 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian actress .

life and career

Anica Dobra grew up in Belgrade before moving to the Federal Republic of Germany with her parents. From 1977 to 1981 she went to school in Frankfurt am Main . After her return to Belgrade, she studied drama, jazz , classical ballet , singing and folklore at the Academy for Theater and Film there until 1987 .

At the beginning of her acting career in the 1980s, she appeared in several Serbian film and television productions. She made her debut in the short film Pera Panker (1985), followed by a supporting role in the comedy Pokondirena tikva (1986). For her first leading role in the socially critical psychodrama Već viđeno (alternatively: Reflections ) by Goran Marković (1987) she was awarded the best leading actress at the Pula Film Festival and the main critics award at the Madrid International Film Festival.

Since the 1990s she can be seen regularly in German television productions and on the big screen. In 1990 she received the Bavarian Film Prize as best young actress for the title role in the film Rosamunde . In 1993, Black Bomber won the Yugoslav Film Awards for Best Actress of the Year . In 2005 she was nominated for the Golden Camera as best leading actress in the television films Mogelpackung Mann and Ein Baby zum Verhaben (both 2004) .

Since 1988 Dobra has been a member of the Atelier 212 theater in Belgrade, where she played a. a. Leading roles in the plays Burlesque Tragedy , Ivanov , The Storm , Boris Godunov and Class Enemy. In 1994 she received the national award for best actress for her performance in burlesque tragedy .

Anica Dobra is married and lives in Belgrade. She has had a daughter since October 1995.
