The man who can do everything ( working title : Aus Liebe ) is a German crime comedy by director Annette Ernst from 2012. In the lead role , Peter Heinrich Brix embodies the detective Robert Hellkamp.
action
Robert Hellkamp is a detective at the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office. Since he has been certified by a doctor that he suffers from a so-called “crime scene phobia”, it is difficult for him to visit places where crimes have been committed. He also refuses to carry a service weapon with him. This is of course not particularly useful for his role as an LKA officer. This is why he is often scorned and ridiculed by his colleagues. Robert plans to retrain to become a case analyst , but he still has no approval from his manager.
Robert unexpectedly meets the hairdresser Rita. She is also not satisfied with her job; she has in mind to become a writer, but it stands in the way that nobody seems to be interested in the work she has written. The two fall in love at first sight. Now the fact comes into play that Rita's daughter is involved in an unsolved murder case: Rebecca, the roommate of the flat in which Rita's daughter lives, is found lifeless. She fell from the roof of a house.
In order to support his new love Rita and her daughter, Robert suddenly developed unexpected skills: to the amazement of all colleagues, he volunteered at his office to help clarify the circumstances of death. So Robert succeeds in dispelling the suspicion against a friend of Rita's daughter and in clearing up the circumstances of death. Robert also succeeds in proving that her boyfriend's father is responsible for Rebecca's death; however, it was not murder. While trying to settle a dispute and bring Rebecca to her senses, an unfortunate circumstance caused her to fall from the roof of the community house.
The plot of the film comes to an end when Robert prevents another attempted murder, arrests the perpetrator and helps his new girlfriend to become a successful crime novelist with his criminal expertise.

criticism
TV feature film judges with a thumb stretched to the side: "Smirking thriller with mischievous brix".
Rainer Tittelbach states: “The comedy takes over the direction, the crime thriller is at best a projection surface for role models. A cinematic soap bubble, moved by dreams and wishes, less by genre clichés. Freshly staged in summer ". The conclusion of the film critic is: "Continuation desirable, but almost impossible!"
