Intro Aviation is a German company in the aviation industry based in Reichenschwand in the district of Nürnberger Land . At the turn of the year 2015/16, Intro-Verwaltungs GmbH, co-founded by Hans Rudolf Wöhrl , sold Intro Aviation GmbH, founded in 1974, to co-partner Peter Oncken, who also runs the company.

Services

The company provides aviation advisory services to small and large airlines , international airport hubs, aircraft manufacturers , transportation agencies for governments and financial institutions . The company provides airline networks and fleet planning, inventory issues , cost and revenue accounting, mergers and acquisitions, flight safety issues, security and operations, asset management and appraisals, and technical and financial services. Intro Aviation also provides operational consulting services in the areas of crew and scheduling, punctuality, maintenance and technical services, ground services, catering and fuel and security.

Holdings

dba

In 2003 Intro took over the German BA for one euro . The company was in the black for the first time under the new name dba and was sold to Air Berlin in 2006.

LTU

In 2006, Intro joined LTU and in the same year took over the majority of the company. LTU was supposed to work closely with dba and, like them, was sold to Air Berlin in 2007.

LTU Austria

At the same time as joining the German LTU, Intro took over Billa's stake in LTU Austria . In 2007 the company was renamed Flynext and finally ceased operations in 2008.

Flynext

In 2011 Intro took over Alpha Exec and renamed it Flynext. In the same year, the company was taken over by Germania , which first renamed it Germania Express in 2012 and then ceased operations.

Intersky

In 2012 Intro joined the Austrian airline Intersky . In September 2015, Intro Aviation announced that it wanted to sell InterSky again and that it had already found an investor. At the beginning of October 2015, the Intro investment CityJet announced the purchase of the Finnish Blue1 from Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). On November 5, 2015, InterSky , which at that time was majority owned by Hans Rudolf Wöhrl and Peter Oncken, filed for bankruptcy.

CityJet

In December 2013, Intro announced that it would take over the regional airline CityJet from Air France . In January 2014, it was announced that CityJet would merge with InterSky , in which Intro was also involved, to form a new airline. Three months later it became known that the airlines would not be merged, but would remain independent. In 2016 CityJet was sold to a group of investors around its founder Pat Byrne.

VLM Airlines

Together with CityJet, Intro took over the Belgian airline VLM Airlines , which was sold to the local management in 2014.

Corsair International

At the beginning of October 2018 it was announced that TUI intends to sell the airline Corsair International to Intro Aviation. On March 5, 2019, the Irish company Diamondale took over the airline from TUI. The company is 53 percent owned by Intro Aviation, 27 percent by the TUI Group and 20 percent by employees of the airline.
