The Inverleith Harbor is a small bay on the northeast coast of Anvers Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It lies between Andrews Point and the Briggs Peninsula .
The name Leith Harbor probably goes back to whalers from Salvesen & Co. in Leith , Scotland . The prefix “inver” indicates the location of an estuary. This was added to the original name by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1953 in order to avoid confusion with Leith Harbor on the north coast of South Georgia .
