Ioannes of Kitros

Ioannes von Kitros ( ancient Greek Κίτρους Ιωάννης ) was a bishop of the Thessalonian suffragan diocese Kitros and a Byzantine canonist of the 13th century. In the handwritten tradition, about 25 Erotapokriseis to Konstantinos Kabasilas of Dyrrhachion are ascribed to him, some of which seem to go back to Demetrios Chomatos . Matthaios Blastares took over some of these texts in shortened form in his Syntagma kata stoicheion . According to V. Katsaros, at the end of the 13th century (the same) Ioannes also wrote a divorce decree and treatises on the offices and the days of the year.
