Ion Ivan-Roncea

Ion Ivan-Roncea (born January 27, 1947 in Frumuşani , Călăraşi County ) is a Romanian harpist .

Life

Ivan-Roncea received his first lessons from 1954 to 1958 in his hometown, from 1958 to 1966 he was taught by Marica Pessione in Bucharest . From 1966 to 1971 he studied with Liana Pasquali at the National Music University in Bucharest , from 1977 to 1979 he studied with Pearl Chertok in New York . Today he is professor of harp in Bucharest, he is also the principal harpist of the George Enescu Synphony Orchestra in Bucharest and is often a member of the jury at major harp competitions.
