Ion Tripșa (born March 30, 1934 in Alba Iulia ; † 2001 ) was a Romanian sports shooter .
successes
Ion Tripșa, who competed for Dinamo Bucharest , took part in the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 and in Munich in 1972 . In 1964, with 591 points, he was only one point behind Olympic champion Pentti Linnosvuo and won the silver medal ahead of third-placed Lubomír Nácovský . At the 1972 Games, he finished 25th.
Tripşa won the silver medal with the rapid fire pistol in the team competitions at the World Championships in Wiesbaden in 1966 and in Phoenix in 1970 .
