Iosif Bartha (born July 18, 1902 in Nagyvárad , Austria-Hungary , † October 26, 1957 ) was a Romanian football player . He played 74 games in the highest Romanian football league, Divizia A , and took part in the 1924 Olympic Games .

Career

Iosif Bartha began his career in his hometown Oradea near Stăruința . There he played in the championship of the Oradea region to qualify for the final round of the Romanian football championship . Bartha and his team were able to prevail five times against their biggest competitor, CAO Oradea , but - with the exception of 1926 - they were always eliminated in the first game. After ten years he left Stăruința and went to local rivals Crișana Oradea , but returned in 1932.

In 1933, Bartha had the opportunity to CAO Oradea to change that, unlike Stăruinţa in the Romanian professional league Divizia A played. With CAO he was runner-up in 1935 . Bartha ended his career in 1938.

National team

Bartha came to eleven missions for the Romanian national football team , but scored no goal. He made his debut on September 3, 1922 against Poland . Two years later he was in the squad for the Olympic Games in Paris and was used in the game against the Netherlands .
