Iosif Slivăț (* 1915 in Lugos , Austria-Hungary ; † unknown) was a Romanian football player . He denied 99 games in the Divizia A . In 1935 the defender won the Romanian championship with Ripensia Timișoara , in 1947 and 1948 with ITA Arad .

Career

In 1934 Slivăț moved from Vulturii Lugoj to Ripensia Timișoara . There he was only used once in the 1934/35 season and thus had only a small share in winning his first title, the championship. He left Ripensia the summer of 1935 to Olimpia CFR Satu Mare in the Divizia B . After he had missed promotion in the 1935/36 season with his new team , but rose a year later. In the upper house he had no chance with his club and rose again at the end of the 1937/38 season . He then moved to AMEF Arad . In the summer of 1940 he joined Rapid Bucharest . Since the final of the Romanian Cup had to be repeated three times at the time, he was able to win the 1940 Cup at the start of the season. In the league, he finished with Rapid at the end of the 1940/41 season in second place behind Unirea Tricolor Bucharest and became runner-up.

After the Second World War , Slivăț joined Rapid Bucharest again, which had meanwhile been renamed CFR . During the 1946/47 season he moved to ITA Arad , where he was able to win the championship at the end of the season. He was able to repeat this success a year later and at the same time win the cup in 1948 . During this time it was only used in half of the games. After only five games in the 1948/49 season, he ended his career in 1949.

National team

Slivăț was used three times in the Romanian national team. He made his debut on June 11, 1939 in a friendly against Italy . After a year break he came on July 14, 1940 in the 3: 9 defeat against the German national team to use. His last international match was against Yugoslavia on September 22, 1940 .
