Ipomoea mirandina is a plant type from the genus of Morningglory ( Ipomoea ) from the family of wind plants (Convolvulaceae). The species is common in America .

description

Ipomoea mirandina is a woody only at the base, hairless Liane . The leaf blade is ovate to heart-ovate and 7 to 20 cm long. The base is almost cut off to heart-shaped, towards the front they are pointed.

The inflorescences are axillary cymes . The sepals are broadly elongated to almost circular, 1.5 to 2 cm long and almost identical. The crown is lavender to magenta, plate-shaped and 5.5 to 7 cm long. The corolla tube is more or less cylindrical, the coronet is fluttered and usually bent back.

distribution

The species is known from Venezuela and Panama , but may also be found in Colombia.
