Iptestal is a hamlet in the Palatinate Forest that belongs to Lambrecht .

The place is in the Elmsteiner Tal on the boundary to Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and Esthal on the orographically right bank of the Speyerbach around three kilometers southwest of the city center. In the immediate vicinity is the Erfenstein settlement belonging to the local community of Esthal . About two kilometers northeast on the left bank of the Speyerbach is the settlement of Sattelmühle , which also belongs to Esthal . The eponymous Iptestal extends south-east of the village and is partly on the territory of an exclave of the Neustadt district of Lachen-Speyerdorf , and also to the south-east of the village is the Black Rock in the Gewann Iptestal slope, a natural monument and the Hambach community forest .
history
On October 8, 2016, the place was connected to the gas network of Stadtwerke Lambrecht. A year later the rehabilitation of the local road took place.
Infrastructure
Iptestal consists only of a few houses and one street, Iptestalstraße . There is a playground on site. Although Iptestal is located on the Kuckucksbähnels Lambrecht - Elmstein , which opened in 1909 , the place never had its own train stop. Spangenberg Castle is located further south, already in the Neustadt district .
