Irena Malkiewicz
Irena Malkiewicz , also Irena Malkiewicz-Domańska (born September 15, 1911 in Moscow , † January 23, 2004 in Warsaw ) was a Polish theater and film actress .
Life
In 1935 she completed her acting studies at Państwowy Instytut Sztuki Teatralnej in Warsaw. In 1936 she made her debut at the Teatr Polski in Warsaw. She appeared in the pre-war films Serce matki (directed by Michał Waszyński ), Przez łzy do szczęścia (directed by Jan Fethke ), and U kresu drogi (directed by Michał Waszyński).
From 1940 she appeared in the Na Antresoli Theater in Warsaw. In 1941 she was arrested by the German occupation authorities in connection with the murder of Igo Sym .
Shortly after the war she worked at the Teatr Miejski in Lublin . In 1946 she moved to Łódź and worked at the Teatr Syrena. Even after moving to Warsaw in 1948, she continued to work at the theater. In addition, she was active on other stages in Warsaw. In 1955 she recorded the song "Przysięgałam wiele razy" with the orchestra of Ryszard Damrosz.
