Irene Tedrow

Irene Tedrow (born August 3, 1907 in Denver , Colorado , † March 10, 1995 in North Hollywood , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actress .

Life

Irene Tedrow already played in the theater as a teenager, so that she studied acting at Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh after graduating from school , from which she received her degree in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts . She then played theater on Broadway for the Maurice Evans Company for a few years . So she appeared at the A Century of Progress , the Chicago World's Fair in 1934. In addition, she played occasionally on the radio before signing her first film contract in 1937.

From 1940 to 1989 Tedrow appeared in more than 180 film and television productions. She was nominated for an Emmy twice during her career .

On March 10, 1995, Irene Tedrow died at the age of 87 from complications from a heart attack . The widow, who was previously married to William Kent, had two children, including actress Enid Kent , and three grandchildren.
