Irina Bykowa (born July 6, 1993 ) is a Kazakh cross-country skier .

Career

Bykowa started internationally for the first time in January 2014 at the U23 World Championships 2014 in Fiemme Valley . There she took 45th place in the sprint and 39th place over 10 km classic. The following year, at the U23 World Championships in 2015 in Almaty, she took 28th place in sprint, 24th place over 10 km freestyle and 21st place in skiathlon . In the cross-country skiing world cup , she made her debut at the beginning of the 2015/16 season on the world cup mini tour in Ruka , which she finished in 72nd place. At the U23 World Championships 2016 in Rasnov she came in 44th place in sprint, 33rd place over 10 km freestyle and 20th place over 10 km classic. After finishing 63rd at the beginning of the 2016/17 season at the World Cup Mini Tour in Lillehammer , she won the silver medal with the relay at the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 46th place in the skiathlon and 12th place with the relay and at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol the 41st place over 10 km classic and 15th place with the Season. After finishing 62nd in the Ruka Triple at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, she took 40th place in the Tour de Ski 2019/20, her first World Cup points and, at the end of the season, achieved 49th place on the ski tour.
