Irina Anatoljewna Iljinych née Bykowa ( Russian Ирина Анатольевна Ильиных née Быкова ; born January 29, 1972 in Tobolsk , Tyumen Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian biathlete .

Irina Iljinych achieved her greatest international success - at that time still starting under her maiden name Bykowa, when she won the relay race in front of the representations from Norway at the 1999 European Biathlon Championships in Izhevsk, Russia, alongside Svetlana Chernousova , Natalja Sokolova and Irina Djachkova and Poland won. It was the first European championship in which four instead of three runners were used in the women's relay, which helped Bykowa to be successful. In 1999 she became the Russian champion.

She married her trainer Nikolai Ilyinych , who was also a referee at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . She herself also works as a judge. Like many other former biathletes, she carried the torch during a stage of the Olympic torch relay to Sochi.
