Irini Mouchou ( Greek Ειρήνη Μούχου , born January 7, 1987 in Mytilini on Lesbos ) is a former Greek triathlete and triathlon state champion of the year 2009.
Career
From 2005 to 2009, Mouchou took part in 18 ITU competitions and achieved five top ten places, including a gold medal. She was trained by the former triathlon professional Vassilis Krommidas .
In 2009 she won gold at the Balkan Triathlon Championship in Varna, at the same time she came in 6th place in the European Cup classification of this combined competition Participated in triathlons not organized by the ITU, such as the British Corus Elite Series in London (19th) and the Swiss Elite VW Circuit Triathlon in Geneva (8th) and the one in Uster (9th).
State champion triathlon 2009
In Greece, Mouchou competes for her Mytilener club Atlas (ΑΤΛΑΣ Β.ΜΥΤΙΛΗΝΗΣ) and, as most recently at the 2009 national championship, where she won gold, for the Athens club Aigaleo (Α.Γ.Σ. ΑΙΓΑΛΕΩ).
On her blog, Mouchou surprisingly announced on October 24, 2009 that she wanted to give up her sporting career for the time being in favor of her studies, after she had announced on August 18, 2009 a move to the French elite club TOC Cesson Sevigne , the nominally numerous international elite -Triathletes like Irina Abyssova belonged to prepare for the 2012 Olympic Games.
