Iris Alanyalı
Iris Alanyalı (* 1969 in Sindelfingen ) is a journalist and writer .
Career
The binational Alanyalı - father from İzmir , mother from Hessen - studied German , linguistics and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin . She also graduated from the German School of Journalism in Munich . She currently lives in the USA .
Alanyalı works as an editor and literary critic for the Literary World and has published in other newspapers and magazines, for example in the Berliner Tagesspiegel and the Berliner Morgenpost . As a book author, she has so far mainly written humorous considerations. Her debut, a humorous narrative travel guide User Guide for Turkey (2004), has also been translated into Dutch and Russian. This was followed by the volume Die Blaue Reise and other stories from my German-Turkish family (2006), which she also published as an audio book spoken by her. Most recently, Alanyalı gave insights into her everyday life with a child with The Devil Wears Pampers (2008).
