Iris Boss (born March 11, 1978 in Solothurn ) is a Swiss actress .

Life

Born in Solothurn, Iris Boss gained her first stage experience in childhood and adolescence. She completed her acting studies at the Berlin University of the Arts in 2003 with distinction. Since then she has appeared in numerous film, television and theater productions in Germany and Switzerland. In addition to acting, she gives readings, including a. at the Berlin Fairy Tale Days , at the Meißen Literature Festival and at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. She also works as a radio play speaker.

In addition to roles in various short films and supporting roles in productions for ARD, ZDF and Swiss television, Iris Boss has appeared in several leading roles since 2015. a. in Oboleo (2015) and in Roland Reber's film The Taste of Life (2017). In 2016 she received the audience award of the Solothurn Film Festival for her role in Michael Schaerer's drama Lina . Since 2012 she has been touring the German-speaking area regularly with Euro-Studio Landgraf. Here she was u. a. in the production of the play Ms. Müller must go! to be seen at the side of Gerit Kling . She directed the implementation of Joseph Roth's novella The Legend of the Holy Drinker with the Berlin singer Daniel Malheur for the first time.
