Iris Erdmann

Iris Erdmann (born December 19, 1943 in Benediktbeuern , German Empire ) is a German stage, film and television actress .

Live and act

Born in Bavaria, she received her artistic training from Marlise Ludwig in Berlin in the early 1960s . Shortly before that, she made her film debut at the side of Luise Ullrich in the German-Swiss melodrama The Shadows Become Longer . Also in the 1960s, Erdmann made her debut at the theater in Bremen under Peter Zadek , before continuing her stage career in Berlin. By 1973 television also played a major role in Iris Erdmann's artistic work. Since then she has concentrated almost entirely on the stage and only very rarely and at long intervals in front of the camera.

She has been a member of the ensemble at Theater Basel since 1998/1999 . She was married to the theater critic Henning Rischbieter .
