Marlise Ludwig

Marlise Ludwig (born March 1, 1886 , † March 13, 1982 in Berlin ; born Müller , married name Büsing or Ludwig-Wuttig ) was a German actress and acting teacher.

Life

The daughter of the actress Pauline Johanne Sophie Dorothea Fricke and the actor Ludwig Maria Wilhelm Heinrich Müller, known as Müller Eugen, chose her father's first name as her stage name. She made her stage debut in Bochum in 1908 , but moved to Berlin a short time later. From 1931 to 1941 she appeared on various Berlin theaters and occasionally took part in several feature films. After 1945 she played a few supporting roles in early DEFA films and made a name for herself as an important acting teacher. She was married to the writer and screenwriter Heinz Oskar Wuttig .
