The first right of the child (subtitle: "From the diary of a gynecologist") is a German feature film by Fritz Wendhausen from 1932. It was premiered on October 20, 1932 in Berlin and on May 5, 1933 by the censorship authorities after personal intervention Heinrich Himmler's ("... I consider him suitable to violate vital interests of the state and thus the public order ") forbidden.

Lotte Bergmann is pregnant. But working student Herbert Böhme, the father of her child, has no income, she only has enough to support her mother and herself. She wants to have the child aborted , but is turned away everywhere, including by the doctor Dr. Baumgarten. In desperation, she tries to take her own life, but is saved. In dream fantasies she experiences the fate of mothers with illegitimate children, from which she draws the wish to have her child too.
