Corinna Genest (born August 16, 1938 in Konstanz ) is a German actress .

Life

Genest is the daughter of Gudrun Genest and comes from a connection with Rudolf Diels . Her stepfather became the actor Aribert Wäscher ; after her birth, her father Rudolf Diels married Ilse Göring, granddaughter and daughter-in-law of Heinrich Ernst Göring .

Corinna Genest studied in Berlin with Marlise Ludwig and Elsa Wagner . She had her first theater engagements there, followed by Hamburg , Kassel and Munich . Her comedic talent brought her roles in many German tabloid theaters .

Also specializing in comedy, she began her career in front of the camera in the mid-1960s in films such as Always Trouble with the Paukern (1968), Our Doctor Is The Best (1969) or When You're With Me (1970). Guest roles in television series such as Der Alte or Das Traumschiff followed . She achieved great popularity with television audiences at the side of Manfred Krug as Paula's legal assistant in the series Liebling Kreuzberg from 1986 to 1990 and 1997/1998. In 1993 she also starred in 41 episodes of the sitcom Under a Blanket , and a guest role in Girl Friends in the late 1990s . Since then she has been increasingly seen in the theater again.

Corinna Genest was married to her actor colleague Karl Schönböck (1909-2001) from 1965 until his death .
