Heinz Oskar Wuttig (born July 19, 1907 in Berlin ; † March 12, 1984 there ) was a German writer and screenwriter.

Life

As a student of art history and German studies, Heinz Oskar Wuttig belonged to a group of “young” writers in Berlin who gathered around the publisher Victor Otto Stomps , with whom he also completed an apprenticeship in banking. He then worked as a journalist. In 1936 he gave up this profession and wrote novels, essays, radio plays and plays as a freelance writer.

After 1945 Wuttig wrote documentary “audio sequences”. His play Nachtwache , staged by Peter Thomas at RIAS in 1953 , was awarded the prestigious radio play prize of the war blind . The media scientist Hans-Ulrich Wagner wrote about the author in 2001:

“Wuttig's radio plays are milieu studies and everyday stories that follow less a complex psychological motivation than a typological comparison. In the 50s they took a firm place in the radio play repertoire. "

It was around this time that he also began writing film scripts. In 1963, Wuttig switched to television and became known as a screenwriter for entertaining television series such as Der Forellenhof , Salto Mortale , Alle meine Tiere and MS Franziska . He also came up with the idea for the Three Ladies from the Grill series , which ran successfully on the ARD broadcasters' evening program until 1991 .

Heinz Oskar Wuttig was married to the actress and acting teacher Marlise Ludwig .
