Georg Zoch

Georg Zoch (born September 2, 1902 in Danzig , †  March 31, 1944 in Berlin ) was a German screenwriter , film director and author of plays.

Zoch started as an actor and got his first engagement in 1926 at the City Theater of Gdansk. He later played in Bielitz, Poland .

Since 1932 he wrote film scripts. His subjects were very diverse, mostly comedies, but also romances, adventure films and melodramas. Westward with submarines! and Menschen im Sturm , he provided the scripts for two Nazi propaganda films . He directed twelve feature films and a few short films himself. He also wrote plays, of which Jenny and the gentleman in tails was also filmed.
