Irmlind Capelle

Irmlind Capelle (born March 9, 1958 in Detmold ) is a German musicologist and editor .

Career

Capelle studied school music at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold as well as Protestant theology , musicology and modern German literature at the Free University of Berlin .

In 1991 she received her doctorate in Detmold / Paderborn . From 1984 to 1988 she worked on the edition of Albert Lortzing's letters .

From 1991 to 2014, it was with the CD-company Dabringhaus & Grimm worked as an editor. Since October 2014 she has been working in the musicology seminar in Detmold / Paderborn on the DFG project on "Contextual deepening of music collections using the example of the Detmold court theater in the 19th century (1825–1875)".

Capelle was first chairwoman of the Carl-Maria-von-Weber-Gesellschaft e. V. and has been the first chairwoman of the Albert-Lortzing-Gesellschaft e. V. and first chairwoman of the Society of Friends and Patrons of the Lippische Landesbibliothek / Theologische Bibliothek e. V.

She is married to the musicologist Joachim Veit .
