Irving moonlight
Irving Mondschein (born February 7, 1924 in Brooklyn , † June 5, 2015 in Hershey , Pennsylvania ) was an American decathlete .
In 1948 he qualified as runner-up in the US eliminations for the London Olympics , where he was eighth.
In 1944, 1946 and 1947 he became US champion. As a student at New York University , he was NCAA high jump champion in 1947 and 1948 .
After his active career, he became a coach and coached the Israeli athletics team at the 1952 Olympic Games and the US team at the 1988 Olympic Games.
