Iryna Mychaltchenko

Iryna Mychaltschenko ( Ukrainian Ірина Михальченко , English transcription Iryna Mykhalchenko ; born January 20, 1972 ) is a Ukrainian high jumper .

After she was eliminated from the qualification at the 1999 World Athletics Championships in Seville as well as at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, she was ninth at the 2002 European Championships in Munich.

This was followed by a fifth place at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 2003 in Birmingham and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 she was twelfth, at the European Championships in 2006 in Gothenburg sixth.

Her best performance outdoors was 2.01 m, achieved on July 18, 2004 in Eberstadt. In the hall she reached 1.97 m on February 18, 2003 in Stockholm .
