Isa Cardoso

Marisa Isabel Marques Cardoso (born May 28, 1991 in Figueira da Foz ) is a Fado singer from Portugal .

Career

She was born in 1991 in the Portuguese seaside resort of Figueira da Foz. At the age of five she first appeared as a singer in her hometown, in the clubhouse of the Clube União Brenhense in the municipality of Brenha . In 2004 she performed in the Grande Noite de Fado in Lisbon , where she reached eighth place.

With their concert on January 28, 2009 at the Centro de Artes e Espectáculos cultural center in their hometown, the café there opened a new series of intimate acoustic concerts. At the time, the singer was 17 years old and was preparing for her high school diploma.

After winning the Almada city's fado competition , she also appeared on Portuguese television in 2011. As part of the city festivals of the city of Lisbon in 2011, she also sang live in carriages on the famous 28 tram .

In November 2012 her debut album Primeira Madrugada was released with new compositions, except for two classic fados, which she performed here with new lyrics. She introduced it with a series of appearances in Fnac branches in Portugal.
