Isabel Prahl
Isabel ("Isa") Prahl (* 1978 in Münster ) is a German film director .
Isabel Prahl studied graphic design in Hamburg, then literature, culture and media in Siegen. This was followed in 2007 by studying directing at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne . In 2010 she was awarded the Golden Sparrow for the spot poverty knows many stories . In 2011 she finished her studies with the 32-minute feature film Sufficient , for which she received a First Steps Award . In 2012 she was honored with the sponsorship award of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for young artists .
Her debut feature film 1000 Kinds of Rain was awarded at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in the category “Best Debut” and was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize in 2018 .
