Isabella Kaltenegger

Isabella Kaltenegger (* 1975 in Graz ) is an Austrian politician for the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since December 17, 2019, she has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Styrian state parliament .

Life

After finishing school, Isabella Kaltenegger first worked in the Murau Chamber of Agriculture in the direct marketing department and later in her parents' business. Since 2008 she has been the agricultural and forestry manager of Kaltenegger Limousin , a breeding company for Limousin cattle . In 2010, Kaltenegger Energie GmbH , an operating company for small hydropower plants , was founded and took over management. In 2015 she founded the photovoltaic operating company ISKA GmbH .

In 2013 she took second place as Farmer of the Year in the Economy and Innovation category, and in 2014 she was nominated for the Austrian Climate Protection Prize. In 2017/18 she completed a training course to become a supervisory board member . In 2018 she became a delegate of the Austrian hail insurance company .

Kaltenegger has been a member of the ÖVP parliamentary group in Gaal since 1994 . She is a co-opted member of the board of the Styrian farmers' union by the hail insurance company , board member of the ÖVP district board in the Murtal district and deputy chairman of the Murtal business union . After the state election in 2019 , it was at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative period delegated to the Federal Council by the Styrian Landtag .

She is an engineer , has two daughters and lives in Gaal.
