The Ishkashim Range ( Russian Ишкашимский хребет ) is a mountain range in the southwest of the Chess Darak Range in Tajikistan .

The Ishkashim chain extends over a length of 90 km in a north-south direction east of the Punj river valley . It is located in the southwest of the Pamir . The highest point is the Mayakovsky peak at 6096 m . The summit region is glaciated . The mountain range consists mainly of gneiss and Precambrian metamorphic rock .
