Isham is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire , England . The place is on the A509 , three miles south of Kettering and about one and a half kilometers west of Burton Latimer . The River Ise is east of the village. As to the administrative division, Isham is part of the Borough of Wellingborough . At the time of the 2001 census there were 743 people in Isham, of whom 373 were men and 370 were women.
HMS Isham , a minesweeper of Ham-class , was named after the town.
Facilities
In Isham there is a shop and several churches, one from the Church of England supported Primary School and two pubs ( Monk & Minstrel and Lilacs Inn ).
Isham Cricket Club plays in Division 1 of the Northamptonshire County League and has its pitch on the outskirts of the village between Isham and Orlingbury . There is also a facility in the village that takes care of injured wild birds, Safewings .
