Isidor Scheurl (born March 24, 1986 ) is a German biathlon trainer and former biathlete .

Life

Isidor Scheurl had his greatest success as a biathlete when he surprisingly won the title in 2007 alongside Tobias Reiter and Florian Graf at the German championships in Bavaria's second season. After he made his debut in the European Junior Cup in 2006 , two appearances in the IBU Cup followed in Altenberg in 2009 , but in which he missed the points as 56th in the individual and 42nd in the sprint. After his active career, Scheurl became a biathlon trainer. In September 2009 Scheurl became a trainer at the elite school of sports CJD in Berchtesgaden . After his protégés were able to achieve greater success in their first year, Scheurl was voted German biathlon trainer of the year after his first year as a coach. In 2011 he became a trainer at the Bavarian Ski Association together with Frank Hanus and Tobias Reiter . He continues to look after the young athletes in Berchtesgaden and is also a trainer in Ruhpolding with Marko Danz .

Since April 2018 he has been part of the coaching team of the German national biathlon team as the men's co-trainer alongside Mark Kirchner .
